Once the purchase and price of a property has been agreed, a pre-contract is prepared by us and signed by both parties. This commits both buyer and seller to a price and a date for the “completion” of the transaction. Completion refers to the time frame which the lawyer of the buyer determines as essential for verifying the existence of a clear title in the property and the absence of any mortgage or tax liabilities.

The completion period is usually a maximum of 30 to 60 days. At the time of signing the pre-contract, the buyer deposits with us a sum equivalent to 10% of the agreed purchase price.
